1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our website, we may collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number if you provide one, order details, account information, customer-service messages, marketing preferences, device and browser information, IP address, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.
Payments are processed through Shopify and/or the payment method selected at checkout. We do not normally receive or store your full card number.
2. Why we use your information
- To process and fulfil orders: including payment, delivery, order updates, refunds and customer service. Our lawful basis is usually performance of our contract with you.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations: including accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and consumer-law requirements.
- To operate and improve our store: including security, troubleshooting, service improvement and understanding how our website is used. Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests and balance those interests against your rights.
- To send marketing: where we have the appropriate permission or another lawful basis. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- To use non-essential cookies or similar technologies: where consent is required.
3. Who we share information with
We share personal data only where reasonably necessary. Recipients may include Shopify, payment providers, suppliers and fulfilment partners, delivery companies, IT and hosting providers, email and customer-service providers, analytics or advertising providers where enabled, professional advisers, and public authorities where required by law.
Some Wellbeing Pets products are fulfilled by third-party suppliers through Shopify Collective or similar fulfilment arrangements. Where necessary to fulfil your order, relevant delivery details may be provided to the supplier responsible for dispatch.
4. International transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. Order and transaction records may be retained for the applicable statutory accounting and tax periods. Marketing information is retained until consent is withdrawn, you unsubscribe, or it is no longer reasonably required, subject to limited suppression records where needed to respect your preferences.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
To exercise a right, email Wellbeingpetsuk@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. Service messages relating to an order are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as security, checkout and remembering preferences. We may also use analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies where enabled and permitted. Please see our Cookie Policy for more information.
9. Children
Our online store is intended for adult customers. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating customer accounts or placing orders.
10. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a concern about how we use your personal data. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
